Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the iSaySo macOS app and the iSaySo cloud service (together, "iSaySo") provided by gAI Ventures ("we"). By installing the app or signing in you agree to them.

1. The service

iSaySo converts your speech to text and performs related text tasks using cloud AI models. Output is generated automatically and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing text before relying on it or sending it. Offline features run on your Mac without an account.

2. Accounts

Sign-in is by emailed code. You are responsible for access to your email and for devices signed in to your account. One trial per account and per device. Do not share an account across people.

3. Plans, allowances and payment

  • Free (on-device): $0, unlimited words, no account. Transcription and rule-based cleanup run on your Mac; cloud features are not included.
  • Trial of Pro: 2,000 cloud words within 14 days, free, once per account and per device, included when you sign in. When it ends the app returns to Free and nothing is charged.
  • Pro: $12/month or $99/year, 50,000 words per billing period, billed by Stripe in USD.
  • Pro India: ₹499/month or ₹3,999/year, 30,000 words per billing period, billed by Cashfree in INR.
  • Top-ups: $5 or ₹299 for 25,000 words that do not expire and are consumed after the period allowance.

A "word" is a word in the final text produced. Unused period allowance does not roll over. Prices exclude applicable taxes (including GST in India). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. When the allowance is exhausted the service returns a quota error until you top up or the period renews; the app keeps working on-device meanwhile.

4. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel any time: Stripe subscribers via the portal in the app, Cashfree subscribers on the account page. Access continues to the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where required by law or where the service was unavailable for a sustained period, at our discretion.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use iSaySo to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to record people without consent where consent is required, to attack the service, or to extract or resell the underlying models. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Your content

You own what you dictate and the text produced from it. You grant us only the licence needed to process it for you in the moment. We do not store audio or dictated text; see the privacy policy.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it; third-party model providers and networks can fail. We may change features, prices (with notice before your next renewal) and these terms. Material changes are announced in the app or by email.

8. Disclaimer and liability

iSaySo is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction. Consumers elsewhere keep any non-waivable protections of their home jurisdiction.
